Sara Robertson co-owns & runs The Dirty Apron Cooking School & Delicatessen - Vancouver’s most celebrated and state-of-the-art culinary playground.
Open since August of 2009, The Dirty Apron Cooking School has been demystifying the fine dining industry to the home cook by offering recreational and hands-on cooking classes, whereas their New York-style delicatessen and corporate catering offers downtown dwellers gourmet fare.
Sara has a passion for excellent customer service and an academic background in communications. Her husband and business partner David has culinary training in classical French fine dining. Combined with their faith in God’s plan for them and their business, it have proven to be the right blend of ingredients to successfully lead their business through the numerous challenges of the last 14 years.
In addition to the daily running of The Dirty Apron, Sara enjoys working on projects: from publishing two best-selling cookbooks: The Dirty Apron Cookbook and Gather - to the most recent project of opening two Dirty Apron locations at Vancouver International Airport in 2022.
When not working at The Dirty Apron, Sara enjoys volunteering with both her church and the board of directors for Union Gospel Mission, dining-out, keeping an active lifestyle, and being the loudest and most obnoxious cheerleader on the sidelines for both of her daughters’ weekly soccer games.
